When the clocks change
New Zealand: 27 September (already passed – please check now)
Most of Australia: 4 October
UK and most of Europe: 25 October
Egypt: 29 October
Most of North America: 1 November
What's changed
Recurring Instant Book slots now stay at the same local time all year.
For example, a weekly slot at 2pm will still show at 2pm after the clocks change.
On 28 September we updated your existing slots. Each slot now keeps the time it showed that day. If a slot had already moved by an hour before the update, it will stay at that time, so please check your calendar using the steps below.
Important: Confirmed sessions won’t change. They will remain at their booked times. .
Check your recurring availability
1. Open your calendar
Sign in to Practitioner Connect and select Calendar from the left-hand menu.
2. Review your recurring Instant Book slots
Check that each slot appears at the local time you want. Recurring slots are labelled Instant book slot and show the repeat symbol. If the time zone on a slot isn't where you work, contact Practitioner Support.
3. Fix any slot at the wrong time
If a slot is an hour earlier or later than you want, delete it and create it again at the right time. New slots use your device's time zone, so create them from where you usually work.
If you see a message when creating a slot:
"This slot overlaps with one of your existing slots…":
Another slot clashes with this one, now or after the clocks change. Try a different time, or delete the other slot and create it again.
"This slot falls on a clock change":
The slot starts before the clocks change and ends after. Choose a different time.
"We couldn't recognise your time zone":
Check your device's time zone settings and try again.
Remove any duplicate availability
You may have created an extra slot to work around a previous clock change. If you now see two slots for the same intended time, remove only the duplicate.
4. Check the duplicate slot
Select the slot to open its details panel. Check its date, time, time zone, and whether it says Repeats weekly so you’re sure which slot you want to keep.
5. Delete only the duplicate
Select the bin icon in the top right of the details panel and follow the on-screen confirmation. Take care not to delete the recurring slot you want to keep.
Check your confirmed bookings
6. Review upcoming sessions
Look through confirmed sessions scheduled after the clock change. A session booked before 28 September for a date after your clock change keeps its booked time, so it may now sit an hour away from the slot it was booked into.
7. Reschedule only where needed
If a confirmed session is at a time you can no longer attend, contact the client and follow the usual rescheduling process.
Final checklist
My recurring Instant Book slots appear at the local times I want.
I've deleted and recreated any slot that was at the wrong time.
I’ve removed any duplicate availability.
I’ve checked confirmed bookings after the clock change.
I’ve rescheduled any confirmed session that no longer works for me or my client.
Need help? If anything still looks wrong, contact Practitioner Support with the affected date and time and the time zone shown in your calendar. A screenshot is helpful if you have one.
