At Unmind, we conduct practitioner audits to ensure that our network of therapists and coaches continue to meet our standards.
Unmind Talk is a high quality, effective and safe service
At Unmind, we offer an online therapy and coaching service through a network of self-employed therapists and coaches. Unmind strives to achieve the best user experience and highest clinical quality and safety at all times for users, and the practitioners we work with are key to this.
Practitioners are vetted during our recruitment process to ensure that they have the necessary skills, qualifications, licensure and insurance but we need to ensure that this is kept up-to-date, that they are performing as an effective and safe practitioner, and that practitioners are engaged with the Unmind platform.
Auditing practitioners helps provide confidence that the practitioners we work with are providing the high quality, effective and safe experience that our clients and users deserve. By ensuring the highest clinical standards from our practitioners, we hope to ensure high satisfaction responses from users and clients, positive outcome results from therapy and coaching clients.
We keep up to date with changing global requirements
We work with practitioners worldwide, and accreditation requirements vary greatly. We need to ensure that practitioners adhere to the correct requirements per country, and that these are as universal across Unmind as possible. Accreditation requirements update regularly. We need to ensure that our practitioners meet these requirements as they change.
We recruit in-country experts who can advise us on, and keep us updated with the requirements and standards in their region. We will use this information to form our audit criteria.
Our requirements must be clear for all practitioners in all countries where we have live Talk clients.
We work to find a solution with practitioners who do not pass the audit
If a practitioner does not pass our audit, we will prevent any new bookings with the practitioner until further notice. We will then either work with the practitioner to support them to meet the criteria, or create a 30-day off-boarding plan. During this time, users already in sessions can typically continue to attend sessions with their practitioner to ensure continuation of care. It is the practitioner’s responsibility to manage their relationship with the user during this time and adapt their work accordingly. The user’s safety and care is our priority at all times.
