What are Unmind EAP Services?
Unmind EAP Services allows eligible employees at certain organisations to access EAP services delivered by one of Unmind’s EAP partners. Practically, this is accessed via the Call tab in the Unmind platform: the employee calls the number provided, confirms their employer, and is then directed to the appropriate support. Some clients will also have access to directly book a call through the Book screen in the Unmind Platform.
What Unmind EAP Services includes
Unmind EAP Services may include the following services (availability varies by region).
Immediate Support
Employees can speak with someone for immediate support, 24/7. The helpline is confidential and answered by clinically trained staff who will ask questions to understand the support needed, offer in-the-moment counselling if appropriate, and help identify next steps.
Enhanced Financial and Legal Support
Employees can access confidential support for a range of financial and legal topics, though appointment availability and provision can vary by region. We provide 30-minute consultations with independent experts. For Financial and Legal matters, support is restricted to one session per issue each year.
Manager Support
Managers can access guidance for work-related issues, including support with difficult conversations, workplace conflict, or concerns about team members. This does not replace internal HR processes, and availability may vary by country.
Care for others
Employees can access support and guidance relating to caring responsibilities and relationships, including childcare and parenting, eldercare, and relationship support. For under-18s, the minimum age of support varies by country, and support may not be available depending on the child’s age and location.
In-person Support
For some organisations, employees may be able to access face-to-face counselling or therapy sessions, typically in major cities, depending on the country and location.
When to suggest Unmind EAP Services
Unmind EAP Services is suitable when someone needs real-time, practical support or isn’t sure what support is most appropriate. For example, if someone:
- Feels suddenly overwhelmed.
- Feels unable to cope.
- Feels distressed and needs to talk to someone now.
- Is unsure what support they need.
When not to suggest Unmind EAP Services
Unmind EAP Services is not for medical emergencies or situations where someone is at imminent risk. In these cases, people should call local emergency services.
Do all clients have access to Unmind EAP Services?
No, Unmind EAP Services is only available to employees at some organisations. If someone is unsure whether they have access, they should check with their employer or contact Unmind Support with their company name to confirm eligibility. Practitioners may also check which services their clients can access by contacting Unmind Support.
