This guide provides quick solutions to common issues you and your clients might encounter when using Unmind Meet.

Why are some sessions on Frankie or Zoom and some on Unmind Meet?

When you are moved onto the Unmind Meet platform, it becomes your preferred platform. Any new sessions you book will default to Unmind Meet. However, any sessions you created prior to this change will remain on the platform they were originally set up on (Frankie or Zoom).

Please ensure that Unmind Meet can access your Device’s Camera and Microphone

Camera/Microphone Permissions

Unmind Meet needs access to your camera and microphone to enable you to join the call. You need to grant Unmind Meet permission to access your camera and microphone in your browser settings. Please refer to the relevant guide for your browser:

Camera or Microphone Not Working

On Windows, only one application can use your camera or audio input device at one time. If applications like Zoom or Teams are open, they might be using your camera or microphone, preventing Unmind Meet from accessing them. Please:

  • Close any other applications that might be using your camera or microphone (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype).
  • Reload Unmind Meet.

Unmind Meet may be affected by VPNs or other security measures

Issue: VPNs / Firewalls / Corporate Laptops

Some corporate laptops may have strict security settings (VPNs, firewalls) that prevent Unmind Meet video calls from connecting properly. They might see a "connecting" message that never resolves, or an error page indicating a connection failure. Please ask your client to:

  • Try a different device: If your client has a second device (e.g. mobile phone), we recommend they try joining the call from that device instead. This often bypasses corporate network restrictions.
  • To contact support: If your client still experiences issues after trying a second device, please encourage them to contact Unmind support with as many details as possible. This includes: operating system, browser version, if on work or home network, internet provider details.
  • Go ahead with the session: Please use a different platform in the meantime e.g. Zoom
